ABOUT US
La-Vere
College of Hospitality, established in 2000, is a Registered Training Organisation
(Registration 31122) delivering short training courses for the Hospitality Industry, Food Industry, Food Processing and Food and Liquor
Retailing industries. Our training facilitiy is in South Brisbane, Queensland where our students are able to put their skills to the test.
La-Vere College specialises in accredited 1 – 5
day training courses in Hospitality, Food Processing, Food Retailing and
Kitchen Operations. Our courses have been developed to meet industry
requirements and our graduates are equipped with nationally recognised skills
and knowledge relevant to current industry needs.
In
addition to our core courses we offer specialised training in a number of
areas including Wine Knowledge and Appreciation and qualifications required
by government legislation such as the new Food Safety Supervisor and the
Responsible Service of Alcohol Course.
La-Vere College short courses are aimed at the
next generation workforce, mainly young people looking to enter the
hospitality industry on a casual or part-time basis. However students are
provided with pathways to further study or employment through our job
placement program or by gaining credit towards the QCE or a Certificate 2 in
Hospitality.
La-Vere College utilises the skills of industry
specialists to provide training of the highest standard in small group
classes. Our training, whilst supported by a sound theory base, is face to
face, practical training in real workplace settings.
The
establishment of La-Vere Staffing
Solutions in 2008 will benefit both job seekers and employers by sourcing
and supplying reliable, highly trained casual staff right across the
hospitality industry.
La-Vere College is the training arm of parent
company, HACCP TEC Group Pty Ltd (HTG) founded
in 2000 to provide cleaning and sanitising solutions to the food processing
industry. In addition to delivering
Nationally Recognised Training, HTG is able to provide third-party HACCP
auditing, HACCP plan development, dietetic and nutrition consultations and
assist with site development.
